Cécile Paquette, a proud Franco-Ontarian with roots in Fournier, Ontario, has been a noteworthy figure in Ottawa for many years. Her diverse and influential career in education spanned roles as a teacher, educational advisor, and adjunct professor.

In addition to her career in education, Cécile demonstrated undeniable commitment to the Francophone community by founding organizations such as the Catholic Rural Youth in various eastern Ontario localities. Notably, she served on the Board of Directors of the Ontario French Teachers Association, within the Carleton Catholic School Board. Her dedication to the Francophone cause was also evident in her active participation in various Francophone committees.

Now retired, Cécile focuses her efforts on improving French-language health programs, services, and care. Her commitment to the Francophone community continues through her roles in several organizations and committees. She now holds the presidency of the Federation of Francophone Seniors and Retirees of Ontario (FARFO) Regional Ottawa, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the same federation at the provincial level. She is also a member of the Round Table for the Elderly and on the City of Ottawa's fund allocation committee. Furthermore, she served on the Steering Committee for Francophone Affairs and its pilot committee at the Ottawa Council on Aging, as well as the Ottawa Francophone Committee against elder abuse.

As a representative of the Community Access Care Centers (CACC), community support services and any other organization providing health services, Cécile shows unwavering commitment to improving French-language health services for the Francophone community.
